At the Bell Tower Ball held at the Greenville Convention Center on February 17, 2024, Furman University recognized seven different individuals and organizations for their professional achievements, generous contributions, outstanding service and unwavering leadership to the university and the larger community.

The Honored Recipients and Their Awards

These prestigious honors were awarded to a diverse collection of university alumni, parents, and community partners, all of whom have, in their unique ways, contributed significantly to the continued growth and vibrancy of Furman University.

  • James “Jim” Ney received the Gordon L. Blackwell Alumni Service Award.
  • Keenan Adams won the Tom A. Triplitt Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
  • The Carl F. Kohrt Distinguished Alumni Award was conferred upon Angela Walker Franklin.
  • Paul Foster, Kylie Felker, and Rob Victor of Foster Victor Wealth Advisors earned the Wayne and Rubye Reid Alumni Career Services Award.
  • Awarded the University Partnership Award was LiveWell Greenville.
  • For demonstrating exceptional parental engagement, Carolyn Holcomb bagged the Engaged Parent Award.
  • Minor Mickel Shaw was granted the Honorary Alumni Award.
