Freddy’s Steakburgers to Open Ten New Locations in Upstate South Carolina by 2031

Freddy’s Steakburgers Set to Expand in Upstate South Carolina

In a promising move for fast-casual food enthusiasts in Upstate South Carolina, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has announced plans for a significant expansion. The renowned fast-casual chain has expressed its intent to open ten more locations in the Greenville and Spartanburg areas by the end of 2031.

A Powerful Partnership

The expansion comes courtesy of a joint venture between the NFL player, Ben Powers, and the GVL Hospitality Group. The first location under this collaboration is expected to open in either Spartanburg or Greenville by late 2025.

In a recent statement, Powers expressed his anticipation for this project. He asserted, “Growing up, I always wanted to do something business-related and prove that I could make a name for myself on and off the football field. I’m excited for this business venture with Freddy’s.”

What’s on the Menu?

Based in Wichita, Kansas, Freddy’s Steakburgers has made a name for itself in the realm of fast-casual dining across the nation. The restaurant’s offerings include signature steakburgers, all-beef hot dogs, and shoestring French fries. For dessert, patrons can look forward to Freddy’s frozen custard, a fan favorite.

The chain currently boasts a vast network of over 530 restaurants spread across 36 states. Moreover, Freddy’s plans to develop more than 150 additional locations by the conclusion of 2025.

The Present State of Affairs

Currently, the Upstate region is home to a single Freddy’s Steakburgers outlet located at 4845 Calhoun Memorial Hwy in Easley. Interestingly, another establishment previously located at 1702 East Greenville Street in Anderson had to shut down permanently almost a year ago.
