South Carolina’s Fireforge Brewery Triumphs at World Beer Championships

Shining brightly on the global beer stage, Fireforge Crafted Beer located in Greenville, South Carolina, recently brought glory to the city by winning three coveted medals at the 2024 World Beer Championships® (WBC). This global competition recognized the creativity, taste, and quality of Fireforge’s uniquely crafted beers amidst numerous entries from established brewers around the world.

Fireforge’s Gold Medals

Fireforge Crafted Beer took home two gold medals in the fiercely competed categories of Best Flavored Ale and Best Hefeweizen. Fireforge’s creations distinguished themselves by scoring over 90 in the Beverage Testing Institute’s (BevTest) rating system thus earning the exceptional gold rating.

Their Pecan Artist, a 5.5% ABV English Style Brown Ale, amassed an impressive score of 93, outshining its competitors and earning the gold medal for the 2024 Best Flavored Ale. The Ale, characterized by a unique blend of roasted pecans, offers drinkers a delightful balance of mild maltiness similar to an amber but with a chocolatey roast of a porter.

Again, in the Hefeweizen category, Fireforge’s creation wowed the panel. He Ain’t Hefe, He’s My Brother, a 5% ABV German-Style Hefeweizen, brewed with Southeastern-grown Riverbend Chesapeake Pilsner, seized a gold medal with a strong score of 91. This well-balanced brew tantalizes the palate with its light and effervescent taste combined with hints of banana, lemon, and clove.

Silver Milestone

Adding to its list of achievements, Fireforge’s Oktoberfest, a 5.5% ABV German-Style Lager, clinched a silver medal in the Märzen/Octoberfest category with a score of 88. This full-bodied, slightly bitter brew is a favorite at the brewery’s annual Oktoberfest, displaying a traditional, malty taste, with a satisfying finish.
