This month, the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina, is buzzing with excitement as they welcome three new members to their board! It’s always encouraging to see individuals step up to support the arts, and the latest additions—Carrie Woodward, Samuel Hunter, and Tami Beall—bring a wealth of experience and passion that’s sure to enhance the organization.

Meet Carrie Woodward

Carrie is no stranger to hard work and dedication. A proud graduate of Clemson University, she holds a degree in economics and a Master’s in Human Resource Development. After spending over 14 years at Michelin, she’s currently rocking the role of AOE Marketing Manager. Carrie describes herself as someone who loves to build brands based on thorough research and deep insights into consumer behavior. She comes equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit that she is eager to channel into her work with the Fine Arts Center. “I’m excited to leverage my marketing experience to help the wonderfully talented students in our Greenville community,” she shared.

Meet Samuel Hunter

Next up is Samuel Hunter, someone who truly embodies a love for music. With over twenty years of composing experience, Samuel specializes in chamber works and music for voice. His educational background boasts degrees from Furman University and the University of Houston, and his talent shines through his compositions and orchestrations. Currently, he serves as an Instructor in Music Theory and History, along with being the Composer in Residence at the Fine Arts Center. Samuel’s connection with the arts goes deep, and he’s excited to share his knowledge and support the students in their creative journeys.

Meet Tami Beall

Last but certainly not least is Tami Beall, a lifelong lover of the arts. Growing up on the beautiful Isle of Palms, Tami looked forward to participating in the annual Spoleto Festival in Charleston. She highly values the arts, especially since both of her daughters had transformative experiences at the Fine Arts Center’s visual arts program. Tami holds a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Georgia and works as the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services at Furman University. She looks forward to playing a role in fostering a deep appreciation of the arts in the community.

The Vision Ahead

The Fine Arts Center is incredibly optimistic about the perspectives and expertise that Carrie, Samuel, and Tami will bring to the board. Their diverse backgrounds in education, marketing, and the arts equip them uniquely to uplift the center’s mission in the community. Together, they contribute to a strong team that aims to make a tangible difference for students interested in pursuing arts education.

Join the Journey

As the Fine Arts Center looks ahead, it remains committed to providing an enriching arts curriculum that inspires and educates students from all walks of life. With the support of these dedicated new board members, the organization can expand its outreach, enhance programming, and continue being a vital part of the creative landscape in Greenville and beyond.
