Kick off your weekend on March 14 from 9 a.m. to noon with the “Better Together: Bugs & Plants – A Study In Science” event at TR Makers Co. Designed for ages 5 to 12, this enlightening session costs $48 and promises plenty of hands-on learning. Kids will explore the wonderful world of nature while engaging in interactive activities.
The Greenville Zoo invites your little explorers to embark on a “Learning Safari: On Guard!” where they can learn about animal behavior and protection. This workshop is tailor-made for kids aged 5 to 7 and runs on March 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. It’s a fantastic way to instill a love for wildlife in your youngsters!
On March 14, families can continue their day of discovery with an “Afternoon Exploration” event at Roper Mountain Science Center from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. It’s a great way to keep the curiosity flowing after the morning events!
But wait, there’s more! Don’t miss the captivating “Starry Nights” programs that evening. Starting at 4:30 p.m., enjoy “The Little Star that Could”, followed by “Cosmic Colors” at 6 p.m. and “Extreme Planets” at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are required, so be sure to grab yours early!
The fun continues on March 15 with the Family Free Saturday at the Spartanburg Science Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is absolutely free, and you won’t need any registration! Gather the family and spend the day indulging in various science exhibits.
Make sure to check out the new exhibition “Beautification: The Environmental Legacy of Lady Bird Johnson”, opening on March 15 and running through September 7. This is a fantastic chance for the whole family to learn about the importance of preserving our environment.
If you’re looking for something cozy, head over to M. Judson Booksellers on March 15 at 10 a.m. for Storytime on the Steps. With tasty treats included and an indoor option in case of rain, it’s sure to be a delightful morning.
Later on March 15, take part in the Warehouse Theater Shakespeare Workshop from 11 a.m. to noon at TCMU-Greenville. It’s included with admission and is a fun way for kids to engage with classic literature!
On a celebratory note, the Greenville Drive is hosting its 20th Anniversary Fan Fest on March 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at Fluor Field. Be ready for family activities and, remember to bring a free ticket requirement for entry!
