First up, for those of you who love storytelling through performance, the Spartanburg Youth Theatre will be bringing to life C.S. Lewis’s classic, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, from February 14-16 at the Chapman Cultural Center. This enchanting tale is perfect for a family outing, with tickets priced at $20 for adults and $15 for kids. If you’re coming with a group, don’t forget there are discounts available!

Dazzling Circus Action!

If you’re in the mood for some thrilling entertainment, make sure to check out the UniverSoul Circus showcasing “Rhythm of the World” at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. The circus is rolling into town from now until February 17, and you can snag your tickets starting at just $25 through Ticketmaster. This is a great way to immerse yourselves in a vibrant show full of energy and excitement!

STEM and Learning Activities

On February 14, the CircleUp STEM Day event at South Carolina Botanical Garden is happening from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is perfect for kids in grades 3-8, and they will get the chance to explore the wonders of STEM in a fun setting. Reading Fun and Free Activities

Are you looking for something more laid back? The Hughes Main Library is hosting a Bilingual Story Time for children aged 7 and under on February 14 at 4:30 p.m. It’s a fantastic way to encourage a love for reading while also introducing language skills!

For a weekend treat, enjoy the Family Free Saturday on February 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Spartanburg Science Center. Admission is free and no registration is necessary, so bring the whole family out for a day of exploration and discovery! If your family enjoys story time, don’t miss the Scout’s Honor Storytime at M. Judson Booksellers at 10:30 a.m. that same day.

Outdoor Activities and Crafts

Feeling adventurous? Join the Mauldin Police Department for their Polar Plunge “Freezin’ for a Reason” event on February 15 at Discovery Island Waterpark from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Just a heads up, there is a fundraising requirement of $50, but what a fun and wacky challenge it could be for your family!

Kid’s Day and More Events!

On February 17, don’t miss the Kid’s Day Out event at TCMU-Greenville from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. where museum activities await. Registration is required! Meanwhile, the RTFSC Easley is hosting a Presidents Day Skate Camp for grades K4-5 from 9 a.m. to noon for only $35, where kids can enjoy some cool moves on ice.

This weekend isn’t just about fun, it’s also a great time for learning! Bring your little ones aged birth to 5 to the Tinker Tots program at Spartanburg Main Library on February 17 at 10 a.m. And for older kids, the STEAM Club is meeting at 4 p.m. the same day.

As if that wasn’t enough, cheer on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at their game on February 17 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena starting at 4 p.m. It’s bound to be a lively day filled with cheers and snacks!

And let’s not forget the Southern Home & Garden Show at the Greenville Convention Center from February 21-23, a fabulous opportunity for families to explore and get inspired.
