Exciting Fall Movie Nights Set to Kick Off in Greenville’s Falls Park!

Exciting Fall Movie Nights Await in Greenville!

Greenville is buzzing with excitement as the city prepares for its much-loved fall outdoor movie series, “Moonlight Movies”. While the summer sun may have taken a backseat, there’s still plenty of fun to enjoy outdoors! Kicking off on September 5, this series transforms the beautiful Falls Park into a movie theater under the stars.

Mark Your Calendars!

The movie screenings are set to happen every Thursday evening at sundown, running all the way through October. Residents and visitors are in for a treat with a lineup of eight well-known films that promise to entertain everyone from kids to adults. So grab your family, friends, and favorite snacks, and head down to the park!

What to Expect

Before the movie starts, you can join in on some fun trivia to test your movie knowledge. Plus, local food trucks will be on-site, so you can enjoy delicious bites. And of course, let’s not forget about the iconic Poppington’s Popcorn that will surely make your movie experience even better!

Remember to bring a chair or a blanket, as the park’s grassy areas are perfect for sitting back and relaxing while you watch the show. For those wanting to toast to the evening, you can bring your own alcohol—just don’t forget to pick up a $1 wristband at the entrance!

A Movie Schedule That’ll Delight

Here’s the full lineup for this year’s “Moonlight Movies”:

  • Sept. 5 — “National Treasure”
  • Sept. 12 — “Footloose”
  • Sept. 19 — “Spy Kids”
  • Sept. 26 — “Wonka”
  • Oct. 3 — “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace”
  • Oct. 10 — No movie due to Fall for Greenville event
  • Oct. 17 — “Practical Magic”
  • Oct. 24 — “The Addams Family”
  • Oct. 31 — “Haunted Mansion”

This year’s movie series is sponsored by Champion Comfort Experts and serves as a delightful continuation of community events after the summer concert series, “Downtown Alive”, wrapped up in August. While the outdoor movie nights will take the spotlight on Thursdays, residents can also look forward to “Main Street Fridays” hosting live concerts at NOMA Square every Friday night.

Fun for Everyone

The “Moonlight Movies” series not only promises a great night out but also helps foster the sense of community that makes Greenville so special. Families can enjoy a fun and safe environment, kids can laugh and cheer, and every film is an opportunity for older memories to be revisited or new ones to be made.

The weather is shaping up just right! With cloudy skies and temperatures expected to dip to around 65°F, it’s the perfect setting for cozy movie nights. Just keep an eye on the wind, which is expected to be a gentle 5 to 10 mph from the southwest.

If you’re looking to unwind while creating lasting memories, be sure not to miss the outdoor movie series at Falls Park. Grab your loved ones, and let’s make this fall season one to remember!
