With sunny skies above and a bright future ahead, it was an event filled with optimism as community leaders, staff, and partners gathered to mark this significant milestone.

Doubling Down on Services and Space

In just three years, MetroConnects has undergone a huge transformation. The organization has doubled its service area and staff after regionalizing seven wastewater collection systems in Greenville County. Now, they’re proud to serve over 100,000 customers while maintaining a whopping 1,500 miles of infrastructure. With all this growth, it became clear that they needed a larger space to accommodate their expanding operations.

A Hub for Future Success

The visionary new headquarters will house an administration building, an operations and maintenance facility, and additional covered storage. This well-planned campus is designed to support MetroConnects’ mission of providing innovative and sustainable wastewater management. “The new campus will increase our efficiency by bringing all services, operations, and equipment together in one location,” stated Carol Elliot, the General Manager of MetroConnects. Her enthusiasm was contagious: “We look forward to continuing our commitment to Greenville County, serving an expanding community, and meeting the needs of the future.”

Location, Location, Location

Situated at 1151 W. Butler Road in Mauldin, SC, this new campus will not just serve as an operational base but also as a center for community outreach initiatives. Making It Happen

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, JLL is stepping in as the Project Manager, while Vannoy Construction takes charge of the construction aspects. With expected completion in spring 2026, anticipation is already building. “We are thrilled to partner with MetroConnects to design a headquarters that reflects their dedication to innovation and the community,” shared principal Meg Terry. With her words, it’s clear that this project is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about laying the foundation for the essential work to come.
