Exciting Opportunities Await at Go Govie! Day in Greenville

Greenville has some exciting news in the air! On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is rolling out the red carpet for families curious about artistic educational opportunities. This much-anticipated event, known as Go Govie! Day, is the perfect chance for families with artistically talented students to learn all about what the school has to offer.

The open house runs from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and the good news is, anyone interested can easily sign up online at SCGSAH.org/go-govie-day. Dr. Cedric Adderley, the school president, warmly invites all families across South Carolina to come on out. “We invite all families in South Carolina who are interested in the Governor’s School’s summer programs or tuition-free, residential high school to come learn more about the Govie experience,” he explained. All South Carolina residents in grades 6-11 are eligible to apply online at SCGSAH.org. It’s important to note that the priority deadline for all programs falls on January 8, 2025, but applications will keep being accepted until all spaces are filled.
