Exciting Developments in Greenville Bring Four New Restaurants!

Hey there, food lovers and Greenville residents! Big changes are happening just a stone’s throw away. With a whopping $1 billion investment, the County Square project is finally taking shape on a 40-acre site that once housed a strip mall and a county office building. This mixed-use development is gearing up to become a bustling hub, right near downtown Greenville, and here’s the juicy part: four brand-new restaurants have just signed on, all eager to serve up delicious cuisine.

What’s Cooking?

First on the list is Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, a well-loved spot with three locations in Southern California. Get ready for some hearty home-cooked meals and all-day breakfast options! Plus, their legendary 32-ounce Bloody Mary is sure to be a hit. This will be their very first location on the East Coast, and they plan to hire around 200 employees to keep the good times rolling. Not only that, but they’re committed to giving back to the community through partnered events with local schools and charities. How cool is that?

Next up, we have Leo’s Italian Social, an upscale Italian eatery that originated in Ohio and North Carolina. Known for a warm, inviting atmosphere and delectable dishes, Leo’s is bound to entice your taste buds with a twist on classic Italian fare. But wait, there’s more!

For the wine enthusiasts out there, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar is preparing to please your palate. Founded in Texas, this popular chain has expanded to have locations across multiple states. They boast a fantastic wine list, featuring 300 premium bottles and 40 wines by the glass. Their menu is inspired by Napa Valley and will include mouthwatering options like charcuterie boards, stone-fired pizzas, and delightful Taste & Share appetizers. A perfect place for a cozy night out, wouldn’t you agree?

And let’s not forget about MOA Korean Barbeque, which promises an elevated take on traditional Korean barbecue. Spanning 6,200 square feet, this vibrant venue will hold around 200 diners with 30-40 grill tables for interactive dining. Grill your favorite meats and vegetables right at your table! They’ll also feature a variety of popular dishes like poke bowls, chicken katsu, and bibimbap, plus a dedicated space for tofu production. With existing locations in Charlotte and Columbia, Greenville is in for a treat.

The Bigger Picture

But that’s not all! The first building to open in County Square is the brand new headquarters for Greenville County government, designed by the renowned Foster + Partners. This building is a significant addition to the project and already sets a stylish tone for the mixed-use area. RocaPoint Partners, the team behind this ambitious project, is really pulling out all the stops.

Alongside these fantastic new eateries, the development is also welcoming a variety of shops and entertainment venues. For instance, Pins Mechanical and Fairway Social are set to be entertaining anchors, while The Perch Kitchen & Tap will be the first food and beverage tenant.

Many of the new businesses, like The Salty which serves gourmet donuts and coffee, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop, are making their debut in Greenville, bringing fresh flavors and experiences to the local scene. There’s even Hawkers, serving up authentic Asian street food!

What’s Next?

As construction progresses, Greenville folks can look forward to a lively community hub filled with shopping, dining, and entertainment. The combination of local and first-time-to-Greenville businesses is bound to create an exciting atmosphere.

So, mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and get ready to enjoy the incredible food and vibrant community spirit that County Square promises to bring. Stay tuned, as we all can’t wait to savor every bite!
