Excitement Builds for the New Tavola Restaurant in Greenville

Greenville folks have been buzzing with excitement over the past few months as the highly anticipated new restaurant concept, Tavola, gets ready to open its doors. This delightful eatery is a venture by Table 301, known for its culinary contributions in the heart of downtown Greenville. Now, it’s stepping foot into a new neighborhood, aiming to serve those who can’t always make the trip downtown.

A Taste of the Menu at Local Events

Before their grand opening, Tavola has been making appearances at local events around town, like BridgeWay Station’s grand opening and the Great Wall Gala. Attendees have been treated to a sneak peek of the delicious menu options, showcasing tantalizing dishes like arancini and classic Bolognese.

Bringing Italian Flair to BridgeWay

According to Carl Sobocinski, the founder of Table 301, this new concept is particularly exciting as it allows those in surrounding neighborhoods easier access to high-quality food. “Folks that don’t have the opportunity to afford the time every night to come into downtown, they can hopefully enjoy us out here at BridgeWay and it’s closer to neighborhoods,” he shared in an interview earlier this year.

Since 1997, Table 301 has been delighting diners with innovative and tasty offerings. From Soby’s New South Cuisine to a range of other popular establishments like The Lazy Goat and Nose Dive, this restaurant group has continually pushed the envelope when it comes to providing exceptional dining experiences.

A Sneak Peek Inside Tavola

Recently, media members were invited for a preview on September 13 to catch a glimpse of what Tavola has to offer. As you step inside the restaurant, you will be greeted with soft shades of terra cotta, olive green, and natural wood accents. The space is designed to be warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light filtering through the glass wine cases crafted by Kessick Wine Cellars.

One standout feature is the corner bar, made of Colorado gold marble. While marble can be a tricky material due to its porous nature, it adds a unique touch to the restaurant’s ambiance and is expected to develop a beautiful patina as time goes on. The much-anticipated wine window, reminiscent of those in Italy, has also been confirmed, offering a charming option for diners wishing to enjoy their meals outdoors.

Delicious Dishes to Look Forward To

Now, let’s get to the highlight—the food! Some of the standout menu items include:

  • Autumn Vegetable Panzanella: A light dish featuring cruciferous greens, house-made focaccia croutons, sweet potato, butternut squash, goat cheese, and a maple balsamic vinaigrette—perfect for capturing the essence of fall.
  • Arancini: Crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside, these delectable bites are made with arborio rice, parmesan, and a drizzle of truffle honey.
  • Spaghetti Carbonara: A classic Italian dish that is rich and creamy, featuring only guanciale, peppercorns, and Parmigiano crisp—it’s sure to satisfy your cravings.
  • Whole Roasted Branzino: This dish is a show-stopper, artfully plated with a medley of vegetables and a flavorful tomato gremolata.
  • House-made Limoncello: The perfect way to end your meal, this digestif provides just the right kick while refreshing your palate with its citrus notes.

Looking Ahead

While a specific opening date for Tavola hasn’t been revealed just yet, it’s expected to be announced shortly after the euphoria Greenville event wraps up on September 22. So keep your eyes peeled, as you won’t want to miss your chance to experience this exciting new addition to Greenville’s vibrant culinary scene!

With all these delightful offerings on the horizon, it looks like Tavola is set to become a cherished spot for local dining. Are you ready to indulge in some Italian cuisine right here in your neighborhood?
