The ETSU men’s tennis team showed true grit and determination as they rallied from an early deficit to defeat Furman with a score of 4-3 on Monday. This victory brings the Bucs back to a .500 overall record of 9-9 and boosts their SoCon record to an impressive 6-0.
Furman took an early lead in Monday’s match by securing the doubles point and winning two of the first three completed singles matches to go up 3-1. However, the Bucs fought back with exceptional performances from Dimitri Badra, Peter Kalocsai, and Pedro Cressoni, winning their respective matches to turn the tide and secure the victory. Badra’s win in the No. 1 singles spot proved to be the match-deciding point.
