The district welcomed its first of four electric buses, decked with introduce blue bumper and complete with front, side, rear, and interior safety cameras. This upgrade is expected to not only bring down the costs associated with maintenance and fuel but also significantly reduce the district’s carbon emissions.

Greenville District Holds Job Fair

Meanwhile, Greenville County Schools are addressing staff shortages with a proactive approach, hosting their last summer job fair at Enoree Career Center. The district currently seeks bus drivers, foodservice operators, and custodians and hopes to fill all vacancies before the county’s school start date, August 8th. Greenville County Schools have already seen positive results from a recent 3% state pay increase for bus drivers, filling many positions and mitigating driver shortages, particularly in the Berea and Taylors areas.
