Easley YMCA Unveils New Room in Honor of Fallen Local Hero
EASLEY, S.C. (HERE News) – The Easley YMCA unveiled its new multipurpose room in honor of a fallen local hero. Officer Matthew Hare was killed in the line of duty on August 2, 2023, while trying to save a woman threatening self-harm off railroad tracks. Officer Hare had been involved in YMCA after-school and summer camp programs for over nine years in his youth.
