Exciting New Developments Set to Transform Greenville Community

Community Growth Unveiled

Exciting Developments on the Horizon for Greenville

Hey there, Greenville residents! There’s some buzz in the air as the city prepares for a pivotal Design Review Board meeting on September 26. If you’re curious about what’s in store for our community, you won’t want to miss this!

The Mosaic: A New Mixed-Use Development

First up on the agenda is the much-anticipated Mixed-Use Development known as The Mosaic. This exciting project will be situated right in the heart of Greenville’s West End, covering an impressive space bounded by South Academy Street, North Calhoun Street, Perry Avenue, and Ware Street. The development will feature three five-story buildings, which promises to enhance the area significantly.

The brains behind this initiative is Saint Capital LLC, a local development and investment firm that’s ready to make its mark on our community. Just last month, on August 1, the city’s Planning Commission gave the green light to a couple of street names designated specifically for this project. It looks like things are finally moving forward, and it’s thrilling to see new life being breathed into this section of our city!

Greenville Gateway: Architectural Designs Under Review

Next on the list is the Greenville Gateway, located at 250 N. Church St. This spot is buzzing with potential, and the Design Review Board will be reviewing proposed architectural design details at the upcoming meeting. Originally discussed during the board’s August 15 session, the plans were deferred for further consideration by the developers, NR Investments.

What can we expect? The board will delve deep into the facade designs, exterior materials, and color schemes for this new development. According to the application packet, NR Investments plans to return for a final review focusing on landscaping and architectural lighting, making this project a visual treat for everyone passing by!

A New Hotel on Pendleton Street

Moving on to some more exciting news, a four-story hotel is on its way to downtown Greenville at 515 Pendleton St. This project, which involves a collaboration between Beauxwright, a Charlotte-based real estate developer, Wintergreen Hospitality, and Equip Studio, will feature 92 rooms along with a mix of amazing amenities. Expect spaces for meetings, events, and even a rooftop terrace and bar! How wonderful does that sound?

Besides the rooms, the hotel will also offer space for three commercial tenants on the first floor. It’s exciting to think of the potential dining and shopping options that could come with this development.

420 Unity Village: A Residential Charm

Rounding out the agenda, the board will also look at plans for a residential development, 420 Unity Village, situated just a street away from Unity Park at 420 Birnie St. This neighborhood project will comprise five two-story buildings housing 21 single-family attached units. Greenspaces and balanced urban living seem to be the goals here, which could provide a cozy living environment for future residents.

Looking Forward

With these developments on the horizon, it’s clear that Greenville is growing and improving. It’s exciting to see how these projects will reshape our community and provide new opportunities for businesses and residents alike. Mark your calendars for the Design Review Board meeting on September 26, and let’s stay tuned for what’s coming up next!
