Sage Automotive Interiors Appoints Dan Russian as New President and CEO

Sage Automotive Interiors, a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry, has announced the appointment of Dan Russian as its new president and CEO. Russian will succeed Chris Heard, who is retiring at the end of the month after a 38-year career with the company.

Russian, an alumnus of the University of Tennessee, holds a degree in industrial engineering. He has been with Sage Automotive Interiors for over 33 years and has held various leadership positions within the company. He started his career as a shift manager in 1990 and has continuously demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication.

In 2009, Russian played a crucial role in the creation of Sage Automotive Interiors from Milliken’s Automotive Division. He was also responsible for helping the company integrate new acquisitions during his five-year expat assignment in Europe. Upon his return to the United States, Russian became the vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas.

Sage Automotive Interiors, which is entering its 15th year since becoming independent in 2009, currently has approximately $1 billion in annual revenue and operates on five continents with 5,000 employees globally. The company has a strong presence in South Carolina, with four manufacturing locations and its headquarters located in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Abbeville counties. Additionally, Sage has a location in Georgia.

The appointment of Russian as president and CEO comes at a pivotal time for the automotive industry, as companies are facing challenges and opportunities brought about by new technologies and changing consumer demands. Russian’s extensive experience and leadership skills will be vital in guiding Sage Automotive Interiors through this dynamic landscape.

Under Heard’s leadership, Sage Automotive Interiors has achieved significant milestones and established itself as a trusted and innovative player in the automotive industry. Heard’s retirement marks the end of an era, but his contributions to the company will undoubtedly leave a lasting legacy.

Sage Automotive Interiors is known for its expertise in providing automotive interior solutions, including fabric and material technologies that enhance comfort, safety, and aesthetic appeal. The company collaborates closely with automakers to develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of each vehicle model.

The automotive industry is rapidly evolving, with advancements in autonomous driving, electric vehicles, and connectivity reshaping the way people experience their vehicles. Sage Automotive Interiors is well-positioned to capitalize on these changes and continue its growth trajectory under the leadership of Dan Russian.

With his deep understanding of the company, industry, and global market trends, Russian is expected to provide strategic direction and lead Sage Automotive Interiors to new heights. His leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s continued success and its ability to meet the evolving needs of automakers and consumers alike.

Sage Automotive Interiors’ appointment of Dan Russian as its new president and CEO reaffirms the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Sage Automotive Interiors remains at the forefront of providing cutting-edge interior solutions that enhance the driving experience.
