Charges pending after city employee hit by car in Greenville parking garage, troopers said

Crews are on scene where a city employee was hit by a car in the heart of downtown Greenville.

Incident Details

The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that troopers are investigating after a parking attendant was hit by a car in a downtown Greenville parking garage on Thursday. The incident occurred around 3:04 p.m. at the parking garage located at 320 N. Church Street.

Employee’s Condition

According to troopers, the driver was attempting to exit the parking garage when they struck the attendant. The attendant, who is an employee with the City of Greenville, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of now, her condition remains undisclosed.

Charges Pending

South Carolina Highway Patrol revealed on Friday afternoon that charges are pending in relation to this incident. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the employee being hit by the car.
