‘Legally Blonde’ success prompts extended run at Centre Stage

Centre Stage’s production of the musical “Legally Blonde” in Greenville has sparked immense popularity, leading to the addition of four extra performances.

Originally scheduled to close on June 9, the run of “Legally Blonde” has been extended to June 13-16 due to overwhelming demand. Based on the beloved 2001 romantic comedy film, the musical follows the journey of Elle Woods, a sorority queen, as she navigates Harvard Law School in pursuit of love and self-discovery.

A Story of Empowerment

The fast-paced musical features a lively score by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.

The production at Centre Stage showcases a talented cast of 22 performers, along with two canine actors – a unique addition for the venue.

Enthusiastic Audience Engagement

Audience members have been arriving at the theater dressed in Elle Woods’ trademark color of pink, adding to the immersive experience.

“Legally Blonde” presents a significant challenge for Centre Stage due to its ambitious nature and the intimate space limitations of the theater.

Artistic Excellence

The production is directed by Christopher Rose, with choreography by Michael Cherry and music direction by Meghan Reimers. The show carries a PG-13 rating for language and suggestive content.
