Heads up, foodies and families of Greenville! Mark your calendars for November 16, as we gather to celebrate a milestone like no other—the five-year anniversary of The Commons! This vibrant food hall, beautifully situated along the scenic Swamp Rabbit Trail and the lovely Reedy River in Unity Park, is ready to throw a bash you won’t want to miss.
The anniversary festivities kick off at noon and keep going until 6 p.m. So whether you’re an early bird or prefer a late lunch, there’s plenty of time to swing by! Located at 147 Wellborn St., the Commons has become a delightful destination for locals seeking a taste of Greenville’s culinary scene. Get excited for great food, fun giveaways, and family activities to keep everyone entertained!
And what’s a celebration without amazing food? Incoming eatery Paseo will be giving folks a sneak peek of what’s to come by serving up their famous paella—delicious! Plus, you can expect special items from other vendors as they whip up their best flavors! Speaking of vendors, here’s the current lineup you can look forward to at The Commons:
Each vendor brings something unique to the table, ensuring your taste buds will dance with delight.
What’s a party without some live entertainment? Several talented musicians will be performing, creating an uplifting atmosphere perfect for celebrating this fantastic occasion. And remember, the first 25 guests will snag special anniversary t-shirts—so make sure to arrive early!
The Commons has journeyed quite a path since it first opened its doors back in 2019. At the time, the Unity Park was still a work in progress. Drew Parker, co-founder of The Commons, shared a heartfelt message: “Five years ago, we envisioned creating a vibrant community hub showcasing Greenville’s culinary talent. Today, The Commons stands as a testament to that vision and our community’s incredible support. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and are excited for the future.”
A lot can happen in five years, and The Commons has some exciting news to share! In September, a majority stake in The Commons was purchased by Aston, the company behind venues like North Hills Shopping Center, Verdae Village, McBee Station, McDaniel Village, and Powdersville Plaza. It seems the sky’s the limit for The Commons!
As The Commons gears up for this milestone anniversary, it promises to be an event filled with laughter, joy, and of course, delicious food. So gather your friends, family, and appetite, and prepare to celebrate five years of culinary delight right here in our beloved Greenville!
