Wrestling fans are in for a treat as Austin Idol, the owner of Austin Idol’s Universal Wrestling College in Greenville, is set to launch his own reality show titled “Tales from Idolville”. The show will be available for streaming on popular platforms Amazon Prime and Roku, with each episode running for 30 to 45 minutes. The premiere date of the show is yet to be announced but it is expected to air in summer 2024.
“Tales from Idolville” will follow Austin Idol as he takes viewers on an emotional rollercoaster, delving into high dramatic situations and real-life stories centered around himself and the students at his wrestling college. The first episode of the show will dive into Austin Idol’s personal story of surviving a plane crash in 1975. Idol, who miraculously survived the crash, will recount the harrowing incident and pay tribute to fellow wrestler Bobby Shane, who unfortunately lost his life in the accident. The gripping nature of the story aims to captivate both die-hard wrestling fans and newcomers to the sport.
Austin Idol has been a prominent figure in the wrestling industry for decades, having competed in numerous wrestling promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). (We) let them talk, do Q&As with them (and) show them wrestling.”
