High School Football Games in Greenville Moved Due to Tropical Storm Helene

Greenville, S.C. – The high school football schedule has been affected by the formation of Tropical Storm Helene, which is set to bring heavy rain and potentially damaging winds to the Upstate. As a result, several games scheduled for this week have been moved to a new date.

Game Changes Announced

So far, here are the games that have officially rescheduled to Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m.:

  • Dorman varsity football will now face Byrnes at Cavalier Stadium.
  • Belton-Honea Path is set to play against Chapman.
  • Blacksburg will meet Broome.
  • Laurens varsity football will host Lexington.
  • Whitmire varsity team will travel to Ridge Spring-Monetta.

Postponed Events

Additionally, the pregame recognition planned for Middle School Sports and Youth Football & Cheer Night has also been postponed. The exact reschedule date for these festivities is yet to be announced.

Weather Alert

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on the weather as the system impacts the area. First Alert Weather Days are in effect for Thursday and Friday as Tropical Storm Helene continues to bring significant rain and winds.
