Leadership Transition Celebration

Greenville Welcomes New President of North America for TD SYNNEX

Exciting news is buzzing around Greenville! TD SYNNEX, a major player in the IT distribution and solutions world, is set to welcome a new president for North America. Reyna Thompson will take on this key role beginning December 1, replacing Peter Larocque, who has been a cherished part of the TD SYNNEX team for an impressive 40 years.

A Fond Farewell to a Legacy

As Peter Larocque prepares to transition into an advisory role effective November 30, he leaves behind a remarkable legacy. During his tenure, he has made significant contributions to the company, championing its growth and building strong relationships with customers, vendors, and the broader industry. Patrick Zammit, CEO of TD SYNNEX, praised Larocque’s dedication, saying, “Peter has been a cornerstone of TD SYNNEX…whether mentoring thousands of co-workers or making a profound impact on local communities through TD SYNNEX Share the Magic.” This initiative impressively raised over $25 million for nonprofit organizations that serve children.

Reyna Thompson Steps into Leadership

Reyna Thompson is not new to the TD SYNNEX family. She joined the company back in 1993 and has built a deep understanding of how to create successful outcomes for both vendors and customers. Most recently, she has led the North America Advanced Solutions business unit, where she focused on big areas like cloud technology, security, and data management. In this role, she supported more than 12,000 channel partners through a wide array of innovative programs.

Patrick Zammit expressed enthusiasm about Thompson’s promotion, noting, “Reyna has built an impressive track record over the past three decades through her unwavering commitment to driving success for both vendors and customers.” Her collaborative spirit and innovative thinking have undoubtedly set the stage for her success in this new position.

Recognition and Accomplishments

Thompson’s accomplishments haven’t gone unnoticed. She was featured in CRN magazine as one of the “Top 100 Women of the Channel” in both 2021 and 2022. Additionally, she has been named a “Channel Chief” for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024 and has held the title of “Woman of the Channel” for several years. Under her leadership, TD SYNNEX’s programs such as CyberSolv, CloudSolv, and Public Sector have received noteworthy recognition, including the CRN Partner Program Listing in 2024 and CRN Power 100 in 2022.

Thompson’s commitment to elevating women in the workplace is also commendable. She serves on the board for a resource group at TD SYNNEX called Elevate, which is dedicated to mentoring women and fostering their growth in the technology sector.

What’s Coming Up for TD SYNNEX?

As the excitement builds, TD SYNNEX is gearing up for its largest conference of the year, taking place in Greenville on October 10-11. This conference promises to showcase the latest innovations and provide a platform for networking among industry professionals.

In a city that has become a hub for technological advancements and business growth, Reyna Thompson’s leadership represents a bright future for TD SYNNEX in North America. Her wealth of experience coupled with a proven track record of success makes this new chapter one to watch in the ever-evolving landscape of IT solutions.

With the transition approaching, the Greenville community and the broader tech world eagerly anticipate how Thompson will steer TD SYNNEX towards its next phase of success. Stay tuned for more updates!
