A well-curated home: Ryan and Jason Dennis

Entrenched in the Greenville Society

Married couple Ryan and Jason Dennis have been long-term citizens of Greenville and intimately familiar with its neighborhood. Having moved residencies multiple times post-marriage, they have experienced a wide range of homes all carrying different histories and memories of past occupants.

They lived in multiple old houses, with the first six homes brimming with history. However, their latest buying decision took them to a new construction home located in the Cottages of Chanticleer, following the sale of their last home and low inventory in the housing market.

Modern Elegance Meets Old School Charm

The Cottages of Chanticleer home provides all the modern lifestyle amenities signifying the ‘perfect home’. Although designed with a fabulous floor plan and packed with contemporary upgrades, it lacked the old-world charm known to be an intrinsic quality of older homes.

Ryan, the proud owner of Grey Street Market and Antiques, took it upon herself to infuse the new house with some much-needed character. By tastefully decorating the home with furniture, art, and unique finds reflecting their interests, Ryan has successfully created an environment that showcases her skill of curating specialized vignettes offered to her clients through her Artifacts booth, Etsy shop, and Instagram weekly sales.

House of Thousand Stories

Every room in their home, every piece of art, and every piece of furniture introduces a unique story and journey, similar to the display found in her stores. As you walk into the home, the oil painting portrait wall in the entry immediately catches your attention. Additionally, the sepia photography family portraits that delicately line the stairway, the impressive record and art collection, and the stacks of old books alongside a collection of handmade pottery, all add rich layers of textures and objects to the home, creating an ambiance filled with much soul and character.

Even the blandest corners of the house have been transformed into warm, intriguing spaces filled with antique and vintage collectibles. The careful selection and placement of these adornments have effectively mirrored the family’s personality and taste, making the house a true reflection of the family that resides there.

Moving Yet Constant

While the homes and collections of the Dennis couple may change over time, their inherent sense of home remains constant. Regardless of their address, they carry their essence of home with them, ensuring that any space they inhabit is imbued with personality, warmth, and an enduring sense of belonging.
