Greenville County Schools Welcomes New Principals for 2024-25 School Year
Greenville, SC – As the first day of school approaches on Thursday, August 8, 2024, Greenville County Schools has announced its new principals for the upcoming academic year. Parents with children in the district may be eager to learn more about the new leadership at their schools.
New Appointments
The following individuals have been appointed as principals for the 2024-25 school year:
- Tim Scipio at West Greenville School – A Clemson University graduate, Scipio has extensive experience in educational leadership, having served as an assistant principal and director in various programs aimed at helping students with challenges.
- Stephanie Smith at Fountain Inn High – Holding education degrees in science and an award for Athletic Director of the Year, Smith has been involved in numerous community events and educational programs.
- Nurit’ Sexton at Bethel Elementary – Sexton brings 14 years of teaching experience and has already achieved significant recognition in her administrative roles.
- Dylan Hudson at Greenville High Academy – Formerly the principal at Seneca High School, Hudson has led his previous school to record graduation rates and has initiated programs supportive of new teachers.
- Matthew Critell at Reedy Laurel Elementary – Critell has previously worked at Bethel Elementary and is known for his strong leadership and involvement with educational initiatives.
- Edgar Henson at Greenville Middle – Formerly an assistant administrator, Henson has worked hard to build a collaborative working environment for teachers and students alike.
- Kyle Pearson at Woodmont Middle – With years of experience, Pearson has transitioned into administrative roles focusing on middle-level education.
- Jordan Hudson at East North Street Elementary – Hudson’s educational leadership experience spans various roles in the district, focusing on improving student engagement and achievement.
- Dawn Hooker at Alexander Elementary – Hooker has spent nearly a decade leading East North Street Academy successfully, showing impressive results with students.
- Jennifer Couch at Lakeview Middle – Couch has seen a significant rise in student performance during her time as principal, leading her school out of the state Priority Schools list.
- Melissa Patterson at Woodmont High – Patterson’s contributions as assistant principal have led to recognized growth in student achievement in her school.
- Todd Stafford at Eastside High School – Stafford brings more than ten years of experience as a school administrator and has demonstrated strong leadership in various capacities.
- April Roberts at the Child Development Centers – Having worked in several leadership roles, Roberts focuses on early childhood education, ensuring children are well-prepared for kindergarten.
- Amy Kern at Tigerville Elementary – With numerous achievements, including leading a school to National Blue Ribbon status, Kern’s leadership has had a lasting impact.
