Historic Greenville News Building Sold; Find Great People to Make it New Headquarters

In a significant business development, historic downtown Greenville is set to see another shift as the Find Great People (FGP) settles plans to move their headquarters into the former Greenville News building.

FGP to Relocate to New Venue

The Greenville-based recruiting and HR consulting firm, FGP, has cemented its plans to move its headquarters to the previous Greenville News building, situated within the bustling Camperdown Plaza in downtown Greenville. With an expected move-in date by the mid-2025, the transfer heralds a new milestone for the firm and the city’s dynamic center.

The Greenville News has been a cornerstone of our community for many years, and we are excited and grateful for the opportunity to move into this significant building,” said FGP’s CEO, John Uprichard. He also mentioned, “The Camperdown Plaza spells vibrancy, and we are thrilled and confident about this new phase in the heart of our city.

An Investment Fueled by Strategic Growth

The Greenville County Register of Deeds reported that the prestigious building was purchased for $10.7 million. FGP, a strategic partner in the Greenville community for more than two decades, has remained steadfast in its mission to be the vanguard of “finding great people to build great companies”. According to the firm, this move to the Downtown Greenville central business district is a strategic step towards facilitating growth for FGP and the local community.

The building was formerly under the ownership of CAP Camperdown Greenville News LLC, but was sold to 32EBroadStreet LLC on June 27, 2024. Comprising roughly 35,000 square feet of Class A Office space, the building notably houses Larkin’s Restaurant, a well-loved establishment on the Camperdown Plaza.

New Phase, New Management

The Furman Co. Investment Advisory Services will manage the new ownership entity. Steve Navarro, president of Furman, expressed his whole-hearted enthusiasm for the property, “This is a trophy property located at the epicenter of downtown Greenville. We are proud to be the new owners and look forward to building its strength with outstanding occupants,”

It is notable that the Greenville News will continue to occupy a portion of the office space in the building until the summer of 2025; maintaining the legacy of the building while opening up new possibilities for the community.

A Bright Future Ahead

In light of this exciting development, the city of Greenville is currently projecting unprecedented economic growth and vibrancy. As FGP takes the reins of its new headquarters, it continues its mission of connecting great people with great opportunities; playing an influential role in shaping the future economic landscape of Greenville.
