Greenville, SC – MAC announces 2024 Flat Out Under Pressure Winners
Metropolitan Arts Council announced 11 artists were chosen as winners in its Flat Out Under Pressure artmaking event June 15.
Kicking off June 14, local visual artists submitted works created during the 24-hour event for an opportunity to have their submissions featured on one of eight recycling bins on Main Street in downtown Greenville, as well as a chance to win between $300 and $1,000 in cash prizes.
The eight artists whose art will be featured on the recycling receptacles in 2025 are:
- Meredith Skinner, first place. She also won a one-week trip for two to stay in Villa Sant’ Andrea in Italy.
- Keith Grace, second place
- David Gerhard, third place
- Jessica Fields, fourth place
- Ryan Roth, fifth place
- Diane Kilgore Condon, sixth place
- Jenny Allen, seventh place
- Jen Reid, eighth place
Three participating artists were also chosen to win the event’s Exhibition Committee Award and each person received a check for $300. The recipients were Griffin Cordell, Jean Wilson Freeman and Matteo Miles.
Pieces created during the 2024 Flat Out Under Pressure will be on display in MAC’s Dolly F. Pardi Gallery through July 12.
