Greenville’s music scene is set to come alive as Furman University’s lakeside concert series, Sounds of Summer, marks its 50th year with a lineup of exciting performances. The series will kick off on May 30 at Furman’s amphitheater, offering a diverse range of musical acts for the community to enjoy.

The schedule for the concert series includes a variety of performers throughout the summer:

Carolina Youth Symphony – June 6

Poinsett Winds – June 13

The Greenville Jazz Collective – June 20

Lakeside Concert Band with Greenville Chorale and professional fireworks display – June 27

Lakeside Concert Band with PaintJam speed painters and JDew auctioneer – July 4

Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble – July 11

Matt Olson Jazz Quartet – July 18

Lakeside Concert Band and the Foothills Brass Band – July 25

Lakeside Concert Band – Aug. 1
