Exciting Move for Greenville: Lima One Capital to Relocate Headquarters!

In what promises to be a vibrant transformation for Greenville, Lima One Capital has announced its plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to 300 East McBee Avenue. This move comes just a few months after the company stepped away from the Greenville County’s redevelopment project at County Square.

A New Chapter in a Familiar Location

Founded in 2011, Lima One Capital has been a significant part of the Greenville business community, with its offices situated on East McBee since 2014. The new headquarters will see the company take up residence in a newly renovated corporate office space, sharing the building with tenant Prisma Health. Lima One will acquire approximately 60,000 square feet spread over the second and third floors.

According to Harrison Hughes, the executive vice president of Hughes Commercial Properties, “Lima One’s decision to relocate its headquarters to 300 East McBee marks a key milestone for both our company and the City of Greenville.” He expressed excitement over the company’s commitment and their potential to help create a “dynamic business hub” right in the heart of downtown.

Moving Forward

Lima One’s chief executive, Josh Woodward, shared that employees are looking forward to the big move, which is set for summer 2025. This change comes after they decided to withdraw as the anchor tenant for the County Square Redevelopment project at University Ridge. The decision was not taken lightly, but the company’s needs didn’t align with the project’s timeline.

County Councilor and Finance Committee Chairman Butch Kirven commented on the situation, expressing understanding for Lima One’s decision. “I harbor no ill will against Lima One,” he said. “I completely understand why they felt the need to move.” It’s nice to see such mutual respect and understanding in these business dealings!

Job Creation and Community Impact

Currently, around 300 employees work for Lima One. The company’s leadership has committed to creating an additional 300 jobs with the new headquarters. That’s a remarkable boost for the local economy and a shining beacon of hope for job seekers in the area!

In Hughes’ statement, he highlighted how “300 East McBee is more than just an office building — it’s a landmark that has been part of Greenville’s skyline for decades.” With Lima One onboard, this historical site is set to thrive even more, adding to the already buzzing North of Broad district.

A Special Space for a Growing Company

Woodward shared his enthusiasm about establishing their new headquarters, noting that it will help create a space that is “special” and “one-of-a-kind.” It’s heartwarming to see a company so invested in not just their growth, but also in fostering a unique atmosphere and culture.

As Lima One Capital prepares for this exciting transition, the city of Greenville eagerly awaits what this new phase will bring. With a commitment to job creation, a focus on community development, and a dedication to enhancing its downtown area, Lima One is set to continue its impactful presence.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting move that is sure to enhance the fabric of Greenville’s business community!
