Greenville Launches Food for Fines Promotion to Help Residents and Local Charity

Greenville Residents, Get Ready for the Food for Fines Promotion!

Hey there, Greenville! It’s that time of the year again when we can do a little good while putting some cash back in our pockets. The City of Greenville Parking Services is rolling out a fantastic opportunity for all parking ticket holders and generous souls in the community. They’re hosting a special Food for Fines promotion that’s both heartwarming and wallet-friendly!

What’s the Deal?

If you’ve received a city parking citation that’s been weighing you down, now’s the perfect chance to lighten the load. You can earn a sweet $15 off your parking citation for every 10 cans of food you donate. And the best part? These donations are going straight to the Triune Mercy Center, a local organization that works hard to support those in need in our community. Helping others has never felt so good, right?

What to Bring?

14 ounces in size. Now, while you might have a few random cans sitting in your pantry, not every can will do! The preferred items for donation include canned vegetables, canned meats, and peanut butter. Just a quick reminder though: make sure your food is in good condition. Unfortunately, expired, damaged, or open food items will not be accepted. So, let’s keep our contribution meaningful and effective!

Where and When?

Ready to make a donation? Swing by the Parking Services offices located at 516 Rutherford Street. The promotion runs through Friday, December 13, so mark your calendars! This is a limited-time offer, and we know you wouldn’t want to miss it!

Good for the Past-due Citations Too!

pay it forward! For every 10 cans you donate, you can earn $15 of credit. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!

Get Involved!

For all the nitty-gritty details, it’s a good idea to check out the City of Greenville website. You’ll find additional information regarding the promotion and the types of foods that are most needed.

Two Birds, One Stone!

So hop to it, Greenville! Grab those cans, gather your friends, and make a day out of it! Not only will you be helping families in need, but you’ll also be easing your own parking woes. Together, we can make our community a little brighter and a lot friendlier this season!
