These events are not just about the floats and marching bands; they are a chance to get into the festive spirit and make some cherished memories with family and friends. Fountain Inn Spirit of Christmas Parade
Kick off your holiday festivities with the Fountain Inn Spirit of Christmas Parade on Wednesday, December 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Main Street! The lineup starts at 4 p.m., so be sure to arrive early to snag a great viewing spot; last year, over 6,000 people enjoyed this enchanting event. This year, the spotlight shines on the Grand Marshal—the Fountain Inn High School Graduating Class of 2025!
Landrum and Clemson Holiday Cheer
On Thursday, December 5, two cities will be drumming up holiday cheer simultaneously! The City of Landrum Christmas Parade rolls out downtown from 6 to 7:30 p.m., while the City of Clemson Christmas Parade kicks off at 6 p.m. on College Avenue. Both towns will be full of festive floats, joyous music, and that magical holiday vibe.
Parade of Lights Bonanza!
The fun continues on Friday, December 6, with several events lighting up the night. The Western Carolina Sailing Club Parade of Lights on Lake Hartwell in Anderson County runs from 6-8:30 p.m. Don’t miss the first annual “Light Up the Night” Christmas Parade in Duncan at 6:30 p.m. Following their parade, join the community to light the Christmas tree and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and delightful performances!
Greenville’s Poinsettia Christmas Parade
On December 7, the beloved Poinsettia Christmas Parade takes over Main Street in Greenville at 6:30 p.m., a tradition going strong for over 75 years. Thousands gather for this spectacular holiday kickoff. And if you’re feeling extra festive, the city is currently vying for “Best Holiday Parade” in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, so make sure to cast your daily vote through December 2!
Exciting Weekend Ahead!
There’s no shortage of parades on Saturday, December 7. The Annual Christmas Parade in Walhalla starts at 5 p.m., the Belton Christmas Parade runs from 3-4:30 p.m., and the Honea Path Christmas Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Be sure to check out the sights in Laurens, where the Christmas Parade runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m., themed “Come Home for Christmas.” Plus, enjoy a Christmas Market and carriage rides before the parade begins!
Simpsonville, Chesnee, and Beyond!
Sunday, December 8, features yet more celebrations! The Simpsonville Christmas Parade will take place from 3 to 5 p.m., celebrating “Christmas Through the Decades.” Meanwhile, don’t miss the Christmas in Chesnee Parade at 6 p.m., which promises dazzling floats and festive entertainment. And, the City of Anderson Christmas Parade gets rolling at 3 p.m. downtown!
Wrapping Up with a Bang!
The parade season doesn’t stop there! There’s even more jolly fun to be had on December 10 in Spartanburg, and throughout the remainder of December with special events in Easley and Traveler’s Rest bringing the month to a festive close.
