Exciting News for Simpsonville: Good to Go Launches Second Location!
Simpsonville, it’s time to celebrate! A delightful take-home meals startup has just opened its doors in your town! Get ready to say hello to Good to Go, the brainchild of Cameron Kendrick, who is bringing her tasty creations closer to your kitchen.
From Side Hustle to Community Favorite
What started as a simple side hustle in Atlanta back in 2011 has blossomed into a booming business. Kendrick began her culinary journey by crafting casseroles right from her home kitchen. “I had a standup freezer in my carport and operated it on the honor system. Customers would leave money in a bag,” she reminisced with a smile.
After relocating to Greenville, Kendrick completely reinvented her business. “It was like starting from scratch,” she said. She listed her meals on Facebook, offered delivery, and relied on good old-fashioned word-of-mouth to spread the news. And just like that, Good to Go began to gain traction.
A Growth Spurt Fueled by Flavor
Fast forward to 2021, and Kendrick was ready for the next big step — opening her first brick-and-mortar location on West Antrim Drive in Greenville. It was a modest 1,500-square-foot store, but it quickly doubled in size when the demand soared. “When COVID hit, people needed convenient meal options, and we were there for them,” Kendrick explained.
Now, just a few months ago, Kendrick took another giant leap by launching at 330 Scuffletown Road in Simpsonville. Why Simpsonville, you ask? Well, Kendrick discovered many of her loyal customers were making the trek from Simpsonville to Greenville. “This new spot is so much more convenient for them. Plus, I learned that Simpsonville is one of the fastest growing areas in the state,” she added.
What’s Cooking at Good to Go?
If you’re wondering what exactly is on the menu, let us enlighten you! Kendrick’s dishes cater to everyone — busy families, health-conscious eaters, and everyone in between. With about 200 recipes on rotation, she offers a staggering 1,000 different items. From classic comfort foods like poppy seed chicken casserole and lasagna to lighter options like the famous “Jennifer Aniston salad,” there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.
The menu is as diverse as Kendrick’s cooking journey. “We have everything from old-fashioned casseroles to restaurant-quality dinners. We also cater to different dietary needs, offering vegetarian, keto, low-carb, and dairy-free options,” she explained. Specialties like chicken pot pie and stuffed shells are a must-try!
Healthy Treats That Wow!
For those with a sweet tooth, Kendrick has you covered! Her chocolate chip protein bites fly off the shelves, and her superhero muffin, loaded with wholesome ingredients, is turning out to be quite the breakfast star. “People love that it’s made with almond flour, rolled oats, cranberries, walnuts, fresh zucchini, and carrots,” she added.
Kendrick ensures that her offerings are up-to-date with current food trends. “I keep an eye on what people are craving and adjust our menu accordingly,” she said. No wonder she’s hit such a sweet spot with locals!
