Community Problems Assembly Set to Unite Greenville for Change
Greenville, SC – There’s excitement in the air as the local organization, GOAL Justice (Greenville Organized for Accountable Leadership), gears up for its highly anticipated Community Problems Assembly (CPA) happening on November 7th at Springfield Baptist Church. This is a big moment for the community, and everyone is invited to come together. The doors open at 6:00 PM, with the program kicking off a half hour later at 6:30 PM.
A Platform for Voices
This year, more than 750 residents from across Greenville County participated in house meetings to share their stories, shining a light on the challenges they face on a daily basis. The CPA serves as a platform to give these voices a chance to be heard. It’s all about understanding the real issues affecting our neighbors, families, and friends.
At the assembly, attendees will hear powerful testimonials from community members who have bravely shared their experiences. These stories reflect the heart of Greenville and the pressing concerns that need our immediate attention. It’s important for every voice to be part of this conversation as we work towards a better future.
Voting for Change
One of the key components of the CPA is the opportunity for attendees to vote on two new critical issues that GOAL will focus on in the coming year. In the past, the organization has tackled significant topics such as housing and mental health, which are crucial for many individuals and families throughout the region. Now, it’s time for the community to choose the next steps. What issues do we want to tackle together? This is where your input is invaluable!
A Call to Action
The CPA is not just an event; it’s a call to action for everyone, including the press and community members, to witness democracy in action. This gathering is an opportunity to share testimonies, vote on new leadership, and welcome new congregations into the GOAL network. As we plan our justice initiatives for the coming year, your participation can help amplify our collective impact and strength.
Join the Movement
If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a community-driven effort for change, mark your calendars and join us at Springfield Baptist Church on November 7th. The doors will be open at 6:00 PM, and we can’t wait to see you there! Together, we can shape the future of Greenville and work towards tackling the issues that really matter.
