Greenville, S.C. – Officers continue to investigate 2020 murder in Greer

The Greer Police Department announced that officers are still searching for information about a murder shooting that left one person dead in 2020. Officers began investigating on June 8, 2020, when Marquis Richey was shot and killed while answering the door to his home along Will Street.

Reward for Information

The City of Greer shared a video with Richey’s family Wednesday, discussing the case. In 2022, The Greer Police Department offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for Richey’s death. Greenville CrimeStoppers is also offering an additional $2,000 reward for information.
